Pro-Terminal

Built on Real Experience, Not Theory

Pro-Terminal started because I was tired of financial advice that worked great on paper but fell apart in real life. After spending years helping friends and family untangle their budgets, I realized there was a gap between what people needed and what they were getting.

We're not here to sell you complicated investment products or promise unrealistic returns. We help people build budgets that actually work with their messy, unpredictable lives.

How We Got Here

The journey from helping a few friends to building a service that actually makes budgeting less painful

2019

The Kitchen Table Start

Started helping friends figure out why their budgets kept failing. Turns out, most budgeting advice ignores how people actually spend money — in bursts, with emotions, and often for good reasons that don't fit neat categories.

2021

The Pattern Recognition

After working with dozens of people, certain patterns became clear. The biggest budget killers weren't big purchases — they were small recurring expenses that people forgot about, and unrealistic expectations about how consistent spending could be.

2023

Building Something Better

Developed our core framework: budgets that expect life to happen. Instead of perfect categories, we focus on spending patterns. Instead of guilt about overspending, we build in buffers. Instead of complex tracking, we use simple systems that people actually follow.

2025

Expanding Access

Now we help people across South Korea build financial systems that fit their actual lives. Our approach isn't revolutionary — it's just honest about how people really manage money when life gets complicated.

Castellum Harington

Founder & Financial Planning Specialist

Before starting Pro-Terminal, I spent five years watching smart people struggle with budgets that made perfect sense on paper but never worked in practice. The breaking point was helping my sister, who's a nurse, realize she was spending 40% of her income on things she'd forgotten she was paying for.

I'm not a financial advisor in the traditional sense. I don't have fancy certifications or decades of investment experience. What I have is a lot of practice helping people figure out where their money actually goes and building systems that work with their real lives, not against them.

These days, I spend most of my time in one-on-one sessions, walking people through their spending patterns and building budgets that expect mistakes and accommodate the unexpected.

What Guides Our Work

The principles that shape how we think about money and the people who trust us with their financial planning

Reality Over Perfection

We build budgets for real people who buy coffee on bad days, forget about subscriptions, and sometimes need to help family members. Perfect budgets don't work for imperfect humans.

Simple Systems

If your budget requires a spreadsheet with 47 categories and color-coding, you probably won't stick with it. We focus on systems that are simple enough to use when you're tired, stressed, or distracted.

No Judgment Zone

We've all made financial decisions that seemed smart at the time and definitely weren't. Our job isn't to judge your past choices — it's to help you make better future ones.

Making Financial Planning Actually Helpful

Most financial advice assumes you live in a predictable world where income is steady, expenses are rational, and emergencies give you advance notice. We know better.

Our approach starts with your actual spending patterns, not theoretical ideals. We help you build systems that work during busy months, handle unexpected expenses, and leave room for the things that matter to you — even if they don't make perfect financial sense.
